Overview
What does Ants Creation build for mobile?
Ants Creation (Pvt) Ltd designs and builds Android apps for businesses in Sri Lanka — customer apps, staff and field apps, and apps that extend an existing website or system. We build mostly in Flutter, Google’s toolkit for fast, native-quality apps. We currently develop for Android only; iPhone (iOS) apps are not offered yet.
An app is rarely on its own. Most connect to something the business already runs: a website, an online store, a CRM or ERP, a payment gateway or a booking system. We design that connection from the start, so orders, customers and data stay in one place instead of in another silo.
The same in-house team that builds your app tests it, releases it on Google Play and supports it afterwards — updates for new Android versions, fixes, and new features as your users ask for them.

Common questions
Android app development: frequently asked questions
Do you build iPhone (iOS) apps?
Not at present: we currently build Android apps only, mostly in Flutter. If iOS matters to your project, tell us when you enquire and we will advise on the best route for your users, for example starting with Android and a mobile-friendly website that iPhone users can open in their browser.
Which technology do you use to build apps?
Mostly Flutter, Google’s open-source toolkit for building fast, native-quality apps, with secure APIs connecting the app to your website, CRM, ERP or other systems. The back end is built by the same in-house team. We build Android apps only at present; iPhone (iOS) apps are not offered.
Can the app connect to our website, CRM or ERP?
Yes. Integrations with websites, online stores, CRMs, ERPs, payment gateways and other systems are a core part of our work, and are scoped during discovery. An app can also connect to Ants Creation’s own Vero platforms, set up per project. See also our custom software development.
Will you publish the app on Google Play?
Yes. We prepare the release and publish it on Google Play under your organisation’s own developer account, so the store listing is held in your organisation’s name. Google charges a one-time fee to register that developer account, and we help you set it up if you do not have one.
Can you test the app’s security?
Yes. Our own security team offers an Android app security assessment, for apps we build and for apps built elsewhere. It checks how the app stores data, talks to its servers and protects accounts, with one re-test of fixed issues included.
How much does an Android app cost in Sri Lanka?
It depends on the features, the integrations and the number of user types, such as customers, staff and administrators. After discovery we quote against a documented scope, by phase, so each stage has a defined cost and outcome. Quotes are free, and Google’s one-time developer account fee is separate.
How long does it take to build an app?
It depends on scope: the number of screens, user types and integrations. We agree a phased plan up front and deliver working builds in short cycles, so you can try the app on your own phone early and give feedback before the next phase starts.
Do you maintain apps after launch?
Yes. Every app we build includes a six-month bug-fixing warranty. After that, updates for new Android versions, security updates and new features are provided under a service level agreement (SLA) or an annual maintenance agreement, with fees and scope agreed separately, by the same in-house team that built the app. Keeping an app updated matters, because Google Play asks apps to support recent Android versions.
What do I need before the app goes live?
A Google Play developer account in your organisation’s name (Google charges a one-time registration fee), the app name, icon and store-listing text, and a privacy policy page. We prepare the release and publish it under your account, so the store listing sits with your organisation from the first day, and we help you set the account up if you need one.
Do we get the app’s source code?
Not by default. As with the websites, custom software and platforms Ants Creation builds, an app’s full source code is not included as standard. If your organisation needs it, it is available under a separately priced source-code licence, with the company’s approval. If Ants Creation ever permanently ceased operations, it would provide customers’ project source code free of charge before closure.
