Overview
What is a brand refresh?
A brand refresh updates an existing brand's visual identity — logo, colours, typography and materials — so it looks current and fits where the business is today, while keeping the recognition it has already built. Ants Creation (Pvt) Ltd refreshes brands for organisations in Sri Lanka and abroad.
A refresh is not a rebrand. The name, the core idea and the equity in your current look are kept; what changes is how they are expressed, from a modernised logo to a cleaner palette and updated website, brochures and campaigns.
We start by establishing what customers already recognise, then evolve the identity around it, and roll the update out across print and digital so the change is consistent rather than piecemeal.

Common questions
Brand refresh: frequently asked questions
When should a business refresh its brand?
When the brand looks dated, is applied inconsistently across materials, or no longer reflects services and customers that have changed, while the name and core idea still work. If the name or the business itself has changed, a rebrand may fit better. Ants Creation starts with a brand audit of what works, what is dated and what customers recognise, then recommends how far to go.
What is the difference between a refresh and a rebrand?
A brand refresh evolves the existing identity: the name, the core idea and the recognition are kept, while the logo, colours, typography and materials are modernised. A rebrand replaces the identity, often with a new name or a new positioning, and usually starts with brand strategy. Ants Creation offers both, assesses which one you need before proposing either, and tells you if a refresh is not enough.
Will customers still recognise us?
That is the purpose of a brand refresh. Ants Creation first identifies the elements customers already recognise in your current identity and builds the update around them, refining the existing mark rather than replacing it. The refreshed identity is then rolled out across print, web and signage in one planned sequence, so customers see a consistent change instead of old and new materials mixed together.
Can you update our website at the same time?
Yes. Ants Creation’s web team applies the refreshed identity to your website as part of the rollout, alongside brochures, stationery and signage, so the new look appears everywhere in a planned order rather than piecemeal. Updated business cards, letterheads and company profiles can be printed at our own print shop. If the website needs more than a visual update, see web development.
Do you offer full rebranding?
Yes. Ants Creation offers full rebranding as well as brand refresh. A rebrand usually starts with brand strategy, to settle the positioning and, where needed, a new name; the new identity is then designed, documented in brand guidelines and rolled out across your website, print and signage. Once the project is paid in full, the copyright in the new designs is yours.
